Inaugural Women's Backpacking Trip
Chapel Falls Loop

Join an empowering group of women for a fun and relaxing adventure in the great outdoors to help you unplug & recharge!

Overview

Sandstone cliffs, beaches, waterfalls, sand dunes, inland lakes, deep forest, and wild shoreline beckon you to visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The power of Lake Superior shapes the park's coastal features and affects every ecosystem, creating a unique landscape to explore. Hiking, camping, sightseeing, and four-season outdoor opportunities abound.

Adventure Itinerary

​Day 1: Thursday, September 28, 2023
​
The adventure begins bright & early 
at Callie Co. Wellness in Pickford, Michigan at 9AM. Your awesome guides will welcome you, distribute gear, help you properly load your backpack, go over safety information, and sign waivers. Next, we will load up vehicles(transportation not provided) and head west to beautiful Munising, Michigan. Lunch provided to enjoy while traveling.

  • Arrive at trailhead and hike to Chapel Beach Campsite
  • Set up camp
  • Relax or partake in additional hiking to explore gorgeous picture opportunities:  Chapel Beach, Chapel Rock, SprayFalls
  • Hot group dinner
  • Enjoy summit treat on the beach as a group
  • Sleep under the stars!

Total Mileage today: Backpack 3 Miles to Chapel Beach campsite (Additional 3 miles to hot spots listed above)


Day 2: Friday, September 29, 2023 
  • Group breakfast
  • Pack up camp
  • Grand Portal Point scenic stop
  • 6 mile trek out​
  • Travel back to Pickford
  • Gear return at Callie Co. Wellness

Other Details

What is not included
Transportation to the trailhead and back. Carpooling is recommended.

Weather
It's Michigan. Plan accordingly. Look at the forecast ahead of time. Keep in mind we will be along Lake Superior in the fall and temperatures can get into the 30's at night.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Full Potential reserves the right to cancel any trip for the following reasons, including but not limited to failure to meet the participant minimum required for a trip, loss of a scheduled staff member due to injury or illness, unforeseeable damage to a scheduled location site or predicted dangerous weather forecasted. If Full Potential cancels a trip due to such reasons, a refund for the full amount paid by each participant will be provided. 

Full Potential is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by a participant related to preparing for a trip. This includes cost of transportation to and from location site, any clothing/equipment purchased for or damaged during the trip, or any medical expenses resulting from the trip.

Refund
  • If a participant cancels trip for any reason 15 days or more prior to start date of the trip, Full Potential will refund 100% of amount paid.
  • If participant cancels trip for any reason 14 days or less prior to start date of the trip, Full Potential will refund 50% of amount paid.
